if you are travelling the great ocean road and you are looking for an extraordinary boutique hotel experience, drift house is the way to go. the rooms are large and designed with attention to detail, forming part of what feels like a little design campus in port fairy. the dinner we had at the hotel was outstanding, as was breakfast. we received the friendliest and most personal treatment from maddie, and it almost felt like leaving a friend after only two days.
Very quirky B&B, staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast and there was a great restaurant for an evening meal. Highly recommend. Easy to walk to Griffiths Island from the inn.
It's a beautiful historic inn. We were in an attic room, small but very well-designed - everything you need is in the room and the bed is very comfy! The garden area is lovely to sit in and breakfast was delicious!
The boutique accomodation was lovely furnished with great attention to detail. We loved their big garden where we enjoyed a quiet afternoon in the sun including nice coffee from the common area. The breakfast buffet was great with a hot meal. The staff was very friendly & helpful. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at their restaurant.
It was so charming and interesting with superior touches and amazing breakfast, and within easy walking to the centre. The inn was so quiet and the grounds were beautiful.
From the welcome text with all the check-in information and host contact details, to the location and the cottage itself, everything was fantastic. The cottage was clean and cozy, the bed was really comfortable, and the facilities were everything we expected and more. Very close to the main street/hub of Port Fairy, it's a perfect location. Enjoyed our local takeaway Thai dinner sitting on our private verandah, watching the sun set. It was quiet and serene with a rural aspect, but close to the beach and nature walks.
This place is an absolute delight! Everything: the historic inn, the location, the interior decorating, the garden, the friendliness, the delicious buffet and cooked included breakfast, and the restaurant food was fabulous!
