Gasthof zur Post, inn in Maishofen

Gasthof zur Post is located in the village of Maishofen, 5 km from Zell am See and the Saalbach-Hinterglemm Ski Area. It offers a sauna (opened in winter and occasionally in summer), an infrared cabin, a natural swimming pond, and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant serves traditional Austrian cuisine.

The Breakfast was excellent, if fact the food was excellent all round. the staff were incredibly friendly. Although a bus ride from the slopes this really wasn't an issue and we soon found our way around. Taxi's were easy to come by too and not too expensive. In all a fantastic Holiday and a Hotel I definitely recommend

    If you like old world charm it has loads of it. We took the full board providing breakfast and dinner not knowing what to expect. Breakfast was a nice buffet. Dinner was exceptional. A small menu that changed every night (we had 3). Catered for our lactose intolerance. The chef deserves a Michelin star, it was that good.

    We had the restaurant dinner, 6 courses chosen form a menu of about 8, one with a wine pairing. This was our self indulgent holiday treat but by goodness we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Food was unbelievable and the wines..all Austrian,,,were a revelation. The location by the way...awesome.

    Obviously a great view on the lake with many options of exploration should you stay longer, rooms are modern (like new apartments that people build to live in), award winning cuisine. Super friendly personnel.

    We loved our room and the lake view balcony. The breakfast and dinner were both fabulous. You had some great staff, Maria @ the Front Desk, Lucien and Aura in the restaurant three of the nicest people I've ever met - they were so kind to us! They are a credit to your hotel! Plus your parking garage fit our SUV nicely.

    Outstanding, friendly staff. Room was very clean with an excellent wet room shower with abundant hot water. Pension Max is only a few minutes walk from the town centre so is perfectly located.

    Breakfast was perfect. Nice variety I was able to have something different everyday. Fresh juices, teas, spreads, etc etc. Hot coffee already waiting for you at the table ☕️ staff were very friendly and the dinner I had was amazing, reasonable portions. Rooms pretty sound proof too :)
