An absolutely wonderful family hotel located on top of a hill with fantastic views over mountains and valleys. The family and staff are absolutely wonderful and give guests the best welcome. The food is great, we chose half board and got a nice breakfast and three course dinner with view. I recommend this place to everyone and this will be a favorite hotell to return to. The Norén family

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
Rooms were lovely and clean. great breakfast which was made fresh every morning. Dinner was also included which wasn’t listed when we booked, but it was a nice surprise. Alex (bar manager) and Mara (chef) were really helpful and very welcoming. The zell am see-kaprun summer card is also included which is brilliant
The accommodation was great, easy access. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection. We had dinner at the hotel twice, once with the full four courses. In both cases, excellent food and great service. Overall strongly recommended.
The location of this traditional pension is perfect. It is localized not so far from the city center, but far enough to maintain absolute “soul refreshing” quietness. Actually the only background noise you will hear is a sound of a wild rivulet flows behind the house. And as always it is all about host and here you have host worth 11 stars out of 10. It was great and lovely stay for me and I hope I will came back.
We adored our time here. For a small fee we upgraded to lake view and it was totally worth it. The lake side terrace is stunning for breakfast lunch and dinners food was sensational and the team were incredible. We loved all the staff and they were so helpful and friendly always. I loved diving into the lake and bathing on the beautiful sun loungers in the garden. The view from grandspa sauna was also amazing. We had such a great time and will definitely return.
The location was wonderful, the staff were so helpful, the room was spacious clean and was very relaxing , I loved the balcony with views to the mountain. The Half board was of a high quality, the breakfast was lavish (the scrambled eggs were just the best!!) and Dinner was prepared and served to a much higher standard and quality than I had expected Bravo!! We will return in the winter, the staff explained further modernisation is taking place so I am very excited to return. A lovely Hotel!
The staff was friendly, free car parking space on the premises, not far from the city centre by car. The breakfast had a various character so i enjoyed it very much.
It is a perfect spot to stay if you're on your way to somewhere else. There is a seating area in front of the pension where you can enjoy the weather before you go to sleep.
We had a half-board stay, and the breakfast and dinner buffet were superb (if you're a meat eater!). We stayed in a suite, which was very spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating, they provided a kettle and a fan for the room at our request. The spa is lovely, but please be advised that the sauna/steam room area is a nude area. Children are asked to leave the pool by 6 pm to allow for an adults-only time which is very considerate.
We had a Wonderfull stay at Pension Margarete. The place is beautiful situated, everything is well taken care of to the minimum detail and the treated us very well. Specially Lauri, Georg and the cleaning lady always had a smile for us and would help in all (not a few) my questions.
If I come back to Zeel am See we will certainly come back to Pension Margarete.
Pension Alpentraum was a really nice place to stay at, being in an old traditional Austrian building, and situated right next to the local train and bus stops, with which you could easily travel around the region. My room was clean and had all I needed, and the owners were absolutely lovely people. I was also really happy that by staying there, you got the Zell am See / Kaprun Summer Card, which gave you access to free public transport, as well as free entries or discounts to many local attractions.
