Tabanchu Villa is a double-storey Victorian townhouse built in 1900 by James Rattray, founder of Jamestown, a suburb of Stellenbosch. The property has housed four generations of his descendants and today it serves as a residential home, physician practice and its top-storey is available for short- and long-term self-catering rental accommodation. The unit includes three bedrooms (one queen size - , two single - and one single bed). Two bedrooms have air conditioning and the third has a ceiling fan. The open plan kitchen/lounge is fully equipped with a big fridge/freezer, microwave, stove/oven and tumble dryer. It also has air conditioning. The lounge has a flat screen television with DSTV premium and the unit has free fibre internet at a speed of 20 Mbps throughout. The bathroom, leading from the lounge, has a shower and washing machine.

The house is located near enough to all the attractions of Stellenbosch and far enough away from the hustle and bustle of town. Within a 5min walking radius you can escape to nature on the hiking and biking trails of Stellenbosch mountain, be enjoying some of the finest wines, the region is renown for, at various restaurants or simply explore the historic town center. Other attractions, a bit further afield, include visiting the various wine farms around Stellenbosch, going to Cape Town (1h drive away) to go shop at the Waterfront (one of South Africa's main shopping attractions), visit South Africa's oldest botanical garden, Kirstenbosch or go up Table Mountain. There is so much to do and see.
