We have a six-person chalet and a four-person chalet - both fully furnished and equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay in this beautiful, unspoilt area. If you are looking to escape the stresses and crowds of the city, look no further than Lunamanzi Lodge. Located in the beautiful Kosi Bay, our lodge offers a peaceful and perfect retreat for those seeking relaxation and a slower pace of life. With pristine beaches, freshwater lakes, and breathtaking national parks, this part of South Africa is a haven for those looking to unwind and rejuvenate. Our Lodge is ideally situated just 500 meters from the largest lake, in this world heritage site. Hi. Welcome to Lunamanzi. This area is perfect for those of you that love nature and the outdoors. There Here you will be able to kick back and relax, away from the stresses and strains of city life. Thembile is the caretaker on site - and is there to make you stay a pleasant one. Please Note: This is a rural area and roads are sandy. You will need a 4x4 or a 4x2 with clearance in order to get to the lodge or travel in the area! We look forward to hosting you. Kosi Bay boasts one of the most beautiful and untouched lake systems in the country, teeming with marine life, animals, and birds. Consisting of four lakes – Amanzimnyama, Nhlange, Mpungwini and Makhawulani – these are connect as they meander into the Indian Ocean. There is loads to do in and around the area if you into the outdoors and exploring the natural beauty of the area. Try: * Snorkelling in the Kosi Bay Estuary where the lakes meet the sea. * A Turtle tracking excursions run by the Parks Board in November through to February / March. This is when leather back turtles return to the area to lay their eggs. * A walk for the forests where you can see the great Raffia palms and might be lucky to glimpse the Palm Nut Vulture. * Visiting the fish kraals to see how fishing has been conducted over generations. * Crossing the border into Mozambique [12kms away] for a different cultural experience
