Avalon Self Catering Cottages are nestled at the foot of the beautiful Makhonjwa mountains in Barberton Mpumalanga. On our family homestead, close enough to town for convenience (2km) yet far enough to give you that family farm feel, a home away from home in a quiet and safe area. We have two cottages available, cottage 1 sleeps up to 3 people with a queen bed and a single bed this cottage has a shower. Cottage 2 sleeps 2 in a queen bed and has a bath. Both cottages offer Quality comfortable beds and luxurious bedding, Free wifi, TV with Netflix, fridge, gas stove, kettle with coffee, tea, sugar and milk, small dining area, retractable fans and under cover parking. There is a communal braai area and lapa with magnificent views and a lovely garden for your enjoyment. A convenient gateway to Kruger National Park, Mozambique and Swaziland, nearby hiking and 4x4 adventures, paragliding, a golf course, the GEO trail, mountain biking, national heritage sites and so much more. Contractors, Reps, Business and Recreational travellers are all welcome.
We love nature, animals and children and believe in self sustainable living. Our hobbies include hiking and discovering ancient ruins and sacred sites, energy lines and connecting to earth grids. Justine is a qualified psychotherapist and spiritual life coach.
A beautiful sacred little town nestled at the foot of the historical Makhonjwa Mountains. This is the perfect gateway to the rest of the Lowveld, Kruger National Park, Swaziland and Mozambique
