This is a centrally located family house converted into a guest house. All rooms are located around the inner court yard with fruit trees and shade to spend time. Room windows face this inner court yard, so you can easily follow all conversations that take place in the court yard from your room. Wifi is strong and always available. Drining water (hot and cold) is provided all day, which is very welcome (and safes plastic bottles). You can have tea/coffee all day. Breakfast is served in the basement, it can get crowded when the guest house if fully booked. You are offered the Samarkand standard breakfast, which is very good. If you ask, you also get fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. Rooms are meticulously clean, a fact that is stressed by the host on arrival. On the picture you can see your host when dressed up for a family event. Overall, a strongly recommended place.

Run by a very friendly family, this guesthouse is perfectly located near the historic sites, but tucked away in a quiet side street that feels residential. It has a charming courtyard to relax in and very clean rooms (they even clean them when you're out, which I wasn't expecting!). Throw in a filling breakfast and what else do you need?

We feel privileged to have crossed paths with them. Leaving Samarkand was bittersweet, as we said goodbye to newfound friends and a place that had truly captured our hearts. The guest house is situated in the heart of the old town, close to all places of interest. The room is big, clean and comfortable. The window looks at the inner garden, which makes the place very quiet. Our host is an open-minded,energetic woman. She speaks fluently Russian and English. The breakfasts are served in a seperate room, which can be used by the guests to prepare their own meals.
