The perfect getaway cabin. Our 3 bedroom is great for couples, families or a group of friends. Newly renovated and has all the amenities you need with the quiet simplicity of the outdoors. A fully equipped kitchen with spices and cookware. Barbecue, fire pit, outdoor seating and dining table. The wrap around deck is perfect for yoga(mats provided) in the morning or just relaxing and reading a book on the couch or watching the sunset. Perfectly located for hiking trails 10-15 mins away,Lake Waramaung 5 mins away and Mohawk mountain is within a 20 minute drive from the cabin for skiing and snowboarding in the winter. Amazing charming restaurants nearby.
We are a couple from Brooklyn NY with a toddler a dog and a few teenagers. I have a design background so when we found this amazing property with this cabin 2 years ago we bought it as our home away from home. We did a full gut renovation on it and equipped it with everything a family or group of friends would need to feel at home.
The neighborhood location is perfect. You have Kent falls beer garden up the road and are a 3 minute drive from the town of New Preston, 15 minutes from Kent and 10 minutes from Washington Depot. You can bike 5 mins or walk 15 mins down to Lake Waramaug. All the best restaurants are within 15 minutes of the house. Mohawk Mountain is within a 20 minute drive perfect for weekend skiing or snowboarding. The house has ample parking for 2-4 cars
