First night in a B&B and probably the best experience so far. Susan and John the kindest host I've met. Sitting on the porch with a glass of wine, a delicious cookie, have a nice conversation with the other guests and enjoying the sun...what an experience!! Three courses breakfast was sooo good. Everything freshly cooked. I will come back soon.

Locally owned and operated, Sweet Biscuit Inn is a beautifully restored seven-bedroom Bed and Breakfast Inn. The inn is ideally located in the quiet wooded neighborhood of Kenilworth, less than a mile from Biltmore Estate, two miles from downtown Asheville, and minutes to the Ridge Parkway and River Arts District. Our 1915 Colonial Revival home offers lodging with urban sophistication alongside comfort and charm. Explore the gardens, sip your favorite beverage on our welcoming front porch, or cozy up near the fire pit — just a few of the many relaxing escapes you’ll discover on the grounds of Sweet Biscuit Inn.
Susan Shah and John Meyer purchased the inn in January 2020. Susan was born and raised in Asheville. After graduating from Meredith College in Raleigh, she spent the next two decades working in hospitality with her family’s hotel business and commercial real estate and property management. Her passion has been hosting parties for family and friends. She’s happy to be back in the mountains near her family and excited to welcome guests who want to explore her hometown’s beauty and charm. John spent his first ten years in Northeast Ohio before calling North Carolina his permanent home in 1986. An NC State University graduate, he worked in golf, landscaping and health care, before finding his passion in the kitchen. With a fondness for being in the mountains, John is excited to explore regional culinary traditions and call Asheville home.
Named after Castle Kenilworth in England, Asheville’s Kenilworth neighborhood remains a shady oasis of mature trees and plants nestled between historic Biltmore Village and vibrant downtown Asheville. Residences sprang up around Historic Kenilworth Inn, a Tudor Revival stone building originally built in 1890 as a luxury inn. Since then the building has burned down and been rebuilt to house a military hospital, resort hotel, mental health facility and finally apartments. In addition to a 19-acre lake, the eclectic neighborhood is home to many architectural styles including bungalows, Arts and Crafts cottages, Spanish Colonial Revival, Tudor and Prairie.
