If you're a boating enthusiast, you'll find a launch in Sea Isle two miles northeast, which is also home to the West End Marina and Restaurant and the Sandbar Grille. You can take an evening or two to explore the seawall or the Strand Historic District in downtown Galveston (21 miles northeast), where you'll also find the Historic Pleasure Pier on the Gulf shore.
