An updated Montrose apartment, in the best part of the city, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Apartments above the garage are typical to the area, but this one was updated with central air and a fully equipped kitchen - great for both weekends and longer term stays. Enjoy vibrant Montrose life, then retreat to your sunny, spacious place. We're here to make sure you have what you need for a great stay, but the space is completely private.
I started out as a guest and am now a host as well (Super Host on another platform)! My first guest experience was in early 2015 and it was perfect. How do I know? My little one started crying as we pulled out of the driveway. We love to travel. I have lived in Russia, Ukraine, and France and visit occasionally. My husband spent part of his child/teenage years in Spain and later lived in Mexico. The girls spent their elementary school years in a Mandarin immersion school. The whole family visited China in 2016 and Ukraine in 2019. Our dogs only bark in American English, though. I work nearby (Rice University) and occasionally work from home. We’re very accessible during the day.
Montrose is the most vibrant, walkable area in all of Houston. This apartment is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, tattoo parlors, vintage shops, and boutiques. You're 4 blocks from a full-service HEB supermarket, 4 blocks from the famous Menil museum (free), only 2 miles from Rice University, the Museum District, the Medical Center, and close to downtown. Running trails along Allen Parkway and Memorial park are easily accessible as well. You don't even need a car! Walk, bike,Uber / Lyft / taxi. Street parking is widely available.
