Exploring Los Angeles, the place where many movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the ending point of fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to glimpse the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalise celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, offering behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

Universal Studios is overrated with much more time waiting for things than experiencing anything. The Getty Museum and Villa are excellent and you only have to pay for parking once if you do both in one day. Be prepared to spend a whole day if you want to do Bonita however.

Palm trees, beaches, La Brea Tar Pits, Hollywood, Griffith Park Observatory! Drive west on Sunset to the sea. Great food of all kinds easily to be found. Unique sunsets. Universal Studios to the north, Disneyland to the south. Too much to see in one trip! BUT...a full spectrum experience, not everybody in Tinseltown has good luck, much homelessness and public distress to be seen on the streets.

I have to say I LOVE Los Angeles.
I have to say I LOVE Los Angeles. Its a must to see it. i heard a lot about the traffic but there is always a way to cut it off and even the people are super nice and asking careing question. A sad note is that some people are suffering and this was hard to see. I hope it will be better one day :)

Hated the BonaventureHotel downtown!
Hated the BonaventureHotel downtown! No hospitality or guest services that helped in anyway. Spent 4 hours walking around in circles to get anywhere. Even on 26 floor the city view promised is covered by taller buildings all around. Even the 35 floor. If you're 12 you'll love it. Would NOT recommend to Even people I hate...
LA Rocks! Stay anywhere else.

LA is huge.
LA is huge. I would recommend either hiring a car or staying in 2 different locations during your stay. On reflection we would have stayed 2 nights in Santa Monica and the rest (4) in Hollywood or West Hollywood.
Loved the location, super close to alot of high-end restaraunts and great overall vibe at the hotel and very clean. Great point for checking our all the touristy things on and near Hollywood boulevard and super close proximity to universal studios. They let us keep our luggage at the front desk after check out as we had a super late night flight that day and the food and cocktails are great! Definitely not a cheap spot though if you are looking at travelling on a budget but definitley a couples friendly hotel.
Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles is an outstanding establishment. Provided me with excellent customer service and support. Friendly atmosphere and staff was very professional and supportive with all request. Thanks for the genuine support in providing me with a great experience. I would like to recognize De’Kwon
Dorian, Brandon (Valet Parking) and Nashua who ensured I was taking care of the moment I checked into the hotel. Overall, very satisfied with the services. Will visit again Thank You.
clean hotel within a vibrant yet quiet cultural downtown neighborhood, 20 mins walking distance to the interesting little tokyo district as well as to the beautiful union station and the enhanced airport shuttle, some longer walking distance to the next subway station for other downtown areas, hollywood, venice beach etc. (all of them not really worth to see), could check in way earlier than officially possible, best value for overpriced los angeles.
The hotel was clean & well maintained. it is a very nice 1, for the cheapest rate, it was by far the best in the area. Nice size room, microwave & fridge (a plus), soft beds, hot water, airport shuttle & free breakfast. Staff was very pleasant , lots of food nearby & it was quiet. It was kinda far from Hollywood & depending on the day Ubers are really high but that’s no fault on the hotel. I really enjoyed my stay
The location was perfect for exploring downtown Hollywood. I loved the vintage vibe the hotel has. Gives off the classic Hollywood feel. The pool area was absolutely lovely! Our room wasn't ready in time, but therefore we got a free Cocktail in the lounge which was extremely romantic (next to a large fireplace). The staff was overly friendly and very accommodating. I can't wait to come back!
Staff are excellent and very accommodating. The hotel itself is well-located in a quiet part of K-Town, not far by car from all of the most visited areas of Los Angeles, and underground car park is very secure and well laid-out. The room itself is big enough with a good TV, a small fridge, a very nice bathroom with walk-in shower (no bathtub), and a very comfy bed. We slept very well here.
The clean, beautiful rooms and friendly staff make this a great place to stay in downtown Los Angeles. There are delicious restaurants close by and this hotel is located super close to many amazing theatres. The view and amenities at this hotel keep us coming back! It’s wonderful.
Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very pleasant at Los Ángeles Airport Marriott. Our room 166 was very comfortable and clean and had a doorway to the outdoor swimming pool area. But I most enjoyed getting my Starbucks Caramel macchiato right in the lobby of the hotel :)
On-street parking outside. Good garden space. The host provides good facilities. Close to Universal Studios and Warner Brothers Studios. Close to 101 Freeway and Burbank airport. Easy to get to downtown LA, Santa Monica, and further afield in the greater Los Angeles area.
The rooms are nice, clean and cozy. The area around the hotel is quite calm and there are several restaurants nearby. Close to the LA international airport and LA downtown. The breakfast is simple but a few options are available making it a good meal experience.
The location was great, in the middle of downtown so there was a lot to do within walking distance. The coffee. and cock tails I ordered at the hotel were really delightful. The entire lounge area was really. cool to hang out in and spend time enjoying.
it's really the cheapest non shared hotel out there in Hollywood and I suppose it works for the most part. The room was fine and the place is close to a lot of restaurants and places in Hollywood.
Good breakfast; nice restaurants nearby and very convenient to the purpose of my visit: Kaiser Permanente's West Los Angeles campus. We took Lyft rydes to and from the hotel from airport, et.c
I loved the upstairs pool and bar. it was a really nice view of the downtown LA! I loved how there is extra security for the guest because the public has access to certain areas of the hotel.
Hotel is located in Koreatown and in close proximity to multiple bus lines. The staff was great and our room even had a view of Downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood sign. Good place.
