We received a complimentary card to get a free drink per guest! Great way to start happy hour and to utilize the hotel amenities. I believe everyone receives this when checking in. The location is a bit far if heading to broad street, I'd recommend biking or Uber. But other parts of town are only about 20 minutes and not too far to walk towards.

It's about 25 mins walk out of the "main hub" of town, but it's absolutely manageable. There are breweries nearby too, within 5 mins walk, and it has valet parking. It's also very modern and clean and has a good bar if you fancy a drink before heading out

The common areas exceeded our expectations... rooftop bar with great views and and sitting area with fire pits, bar area with big tables and sofas BUT our room was smaller than a college dorm room with no seating except the 2 beds which were foot to foot. No closet. Bare minimum.

In general I really like the Moxy-concept and this was no exception. Rooms are small, but they are perfectly clean, tastefully decorated and you get everything you need. The common areas are also always great, with chilling and games opportunities. You might read in other guest’s reviews that the area is “underdeveloped”: I didn’t have the same impression. You won’t be in the middle of the town, but it’s just a 10 min walk to great bars and restaurants and 15 to downtown. And it always felt perfectly safe.

Exceptional staff, good location and amenities, very clean. I like the Moxy concept and in this hotel's case the location brings extra charm (don't miss the rooftop like I almost did!) The hotel is within walking distance from the river and, if you're willing to walk a little further, the South Carolina Aquarium/Liberty Square -- City Market -- even the Rainbow Row (~5 miles away). If you are not walking about, there are not many food options nearby, but the hotel's bar/lounge by the reception (6th floor) is fairly well stocked, from fresh fruit to a good kitchen-prepared selection that was available well into the early evening (9-10 pm). There's a Starbucks on the first floor, but you can also have complimentary coffee at the bar -- and/or a cocktail on that rooftop!
