We are young empty nesters (high school sweethearts who started a family early). Our last two daughters are just leaving home this year and Hello Sunshine is our first big “empty-nester” endeavor. Casey is a professional musician and songwriter and Angie is children’s director for a church in the Santa Ynez valley.
Hello Sunshine was built in 1951 and is a classic example of the mid-century homes in this part of Orange County. When Hello Sunshine was only four years old, a new neighbor moved in just down the road in Anaheim, Walt Disney! Our neighborhood was recently featured in the Coen brothers movie “Suburbicon” featuring Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and Julianne Moore and directed by George Clooney because of its quintessential mid-century look and feel. Our neighborhood is a throwback to the days when much of the land between Hello Sunshine and Disneyland were orange groves. We love this place and hope you do as well. Fullerton (birthplace of Fender guitars) is one of the oldest cities in Orange County. Given its age it is one of the few places in Orange County with a real sense of place. If you have time drive through Fullerton's historic neighborhoods and grab a meal or a drink in quaint downtown Fullerton. Our neighborhood is generally quiet and it's a nice place to take an evening walk. Parking is provided onsite.
