Forest Cottage is a fun Destination Vacation that sleeps up to 39 adults and 4 children! It boasts a great room and open kitchen with 137 sq. ft. of counters, 2 bars, an upright grandpiano, 6ft Jetted Jacuzzi Whirlpool Tub, fenced playground, 8 picnic tables, 2 BBQs, fire pit w/ benches, swing set, basketball hoop, & 2 drinking fountains. Located near 5 lakes, a waterfall, vista trails, rafting and wedding venues. Back up generator, super fast WiFi at 100mbps! Mahogany stained wood trim, chandeliers, stained glass art, 8 indoor trees adorned in white lights, treehouse views of the woods in all directions, glowing sacred grove forest scenes on doors and gorgeous braided tiled floors make Forest Cottage one of a kind. 10 min. from Auburn, CA and I-80
My husband Adam and I bought what used to be a preschool/daycare and renovated it to perfectly accommodate our large family. I loved the sacred grove artwork and stained glass project in this home. The renovation process was tough but I loved the challenge I also love listening to living prophets, doing genealogy and sealing ancestors and family together in Holy Temples through the sealing power the prophet Elijah brought back. Daily, I love tandem biking or roller blading alongside my jogger husband kept upright with a couple cute babies in a stroller! I also revel in reading the Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ—tangible and good fruit of the restoration of Christ’s church and priesthood authority! We cuddle and read together in the mornings on the same phone! I Sure am grateful for my eternal companion and 13 children! I really enjoy song writing and just being together with my family. The Neighborhood is quiet. No visible neighbors. When we raised our large family at Forest Cottage we loved the privacy. It’s safe and peaceful, yet there are lots of amazing things to do. You might try the following: 1) When the roads are dry, drive down Yankee Jim's Rd (at the end of Spring Garden and left at each intersection) for a most magnificent 50 ft waterfall. Devil’s Fall is complete with perfect family photo rocks in front of it and frogs! A few more minutes past the fall is the North Fork of the American River. It's fun to play in too. There is a picturesque bridge over the river. That is where we turn around. But if you cross it it takes you to I-80. 2) Cliff jump and swim at Upper Lake Clementine, five miles down the hill. People boat in Lower Lake Clementine. When It's hot we drive up the hill where it’s cooler 20 minutes to federal land and jump off the dock at Sugarpine Reservoir or Morning star. We use the picnic table and the ADA paved path nearly all the way around the reservoir. This reservoir provides our drinking water at Forest Cottage. I have yet to find better drinking water. It’s delicious! 3. Walk Foresthill Bridge
