The suite was amazing. John the owner spares no expense in creating comfort for guests. Everything is high end quality. Clean and stocked to all your needs. The location was close to everything my wife and I visited in San Diego. The neighborhood was beautiful. We parked on street with no reservations about safety. John was available anytime we needed information. I would recommend this host to everyone.

Huge 1 BR 1 BA + queen sofa bed, private guest suite in Sunset Cliffs Northarea of Point Loma and Ocean Beach. Private entry, ocean and sunset views, 10 min walk to ocean and cliffs. Completely remodeled in 2020 with 1,000 sq ft loft style open concept living with 18 ft glass garage door, queen sofa bed, large queen BR with tons of closet space, portable office desk and chair and 2 private outdoor patios with 1,200 sq ft! Great for couples getaway, remote work, beach vacay and visiting PLNU or events at Thursday Club! Amenities include: private fire pit, fast Wifi, cable and streaming apps, AC, fans, patio swing, snack and wine basket, quiet neighborhood, eBikes for rent and ample free street parking. The private guest suite is located on the lowest level of the home. The only connection to the main house is thru a secure door that remains locked so this really is your own private space. Access the unit from the street level and walk down a short set of stairs to access the private entrance. As you enter, the bathroom is to your left with shower and tub combo, vanity and Japanese-style heated bidet toilet! To the right, you'll access the open concept kitchen and LR with glass garage door with black out curtains which opens to a 500 sq ft private patio with ocean views, outdoor seating and lounging with swing. The LR features a huge flat screen TV, 2 zero gravity lounge chairs, a high top dining table and a couch which converts to a queen sized bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need. From the LR you'll access the large BR with queen size bed, walk in and sliding barn door closets. In the closet you'll find the portable desk and chair great for remote work. The BR also connects to the patio. From the patio, the newly installed steps take you to the private backyard patio with an additional 700 sq ft of outdoor living space. The patio features a gas fire pit and new outdoor dining table for 4. Enjoy 2,200 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space!
I've lived in San Diego for over 30 years working in medical device marketing and enjoying travel, hosting and outdoor exercise and experiences. I've traveled all over the world for work and play, often staying in vacation rental properties and I know what's important to create an exceptional guest experience beyond just the space that's being rented. Guests enjoy all of the "little" things around amenities, experiences and unique and thoughtful touches and I try to include those "little" things as part of the guest experience.
The property is only a 10 min drive from the San Diego International Airport and similar distance to Sea World, Mission Beach and Bay, Gaslamp, Little Italy, Balboa Park and Zoo and other attractions. Even closer to Ocean Beach, Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU), Sunset Cliffs and the Thursday Club. The ocean, cliffs and small beaches in the area are located about a 10 min walk from the guest suite. At the bottom of Point Loma Avenue, you'll find a convenience store (Sea Trader), Pizza place (Rosarios), Mexican restaurant (Sunnie's), small bistro (Little Lion) and gas station. Ocean Beach and Point Loma offer plenty of restaurants, bars and nightlife to enjoy! Jensen’s grocery store is a quick 5 min drive away for gourmet prepared goods & groceries. My favorite, local Sunset Cliffs beach is at the end of Santa Cruz Street. You'll see the stairs down to access the cliffs and the beach. During the summer season, lifeguards are on duty as well. I also enjoy a run from the property to the end of Orchard Street where you can make your way to this same beach area with some walking on rocks and dirt path. Amazing in the morning or at sunset. Liberty Station is a short 10 min drive with a great Public Market with tons of small restaurants & local shops. There is plenty of free street parking right across the street from the unit. We also offer eBike rentals to explore the area.
