I have enjoyed Yosemite National Park for most of my life. I have a good general knowledge of the park and hiking trails throughout the park. I can help you get the information you need to enjoy your visit to this area. I have traveled to over 50 countries and nothing thrills me like Yosemite National Park. It is truly a world class destination. I would be happy to help you in any way I can.

We are located in a quiet neighborhood in Mariposa Pines. Nestled in the Sierra National Forest among the cedar and sugar pine trees my cozy cabin is the perfect hiker's retreat. Nearby hiking and mountain biking trails are easily accessible out the front door. My place is good for couples and business travelers looking to connect with nature.

Neighborhood info

Mariposa Pines is located 16 miles from Mariposa. Elevation 4000'. Heavily wooded area. Periods of snow in winter and cooler temperatures during the summer make this a pleasant climate. We experience all four seasons. Chains are rarely required from Mariposa to my home and from my home to Yosemite. If they are required it is usually for a very short period of time. The roads are plowed and well-maintained. Plenty of parking for guests. Bus service into the Park is available from the YARTS stop in Midpines, approximately 10 Miles from here by car. Bus schedules available online. Triangle Market is located 7 miles away, larger grocery stores are 16 miles away, so arrive with any supplies that you may require. Wine, sodas etc. Closest restaurants are 7 miles away. I can make recommendations when you arrive.
