Hoom is a hidden gem 10min (by car) from Paje in a very calm area and 200m from the beach. It is a very familiar place with few rooms and a shared kitchen where you can cook for yourself. They also provide breakfast (5$) and Lunch or Dinner (10$). It is probably one of the calmest places you can find on the island and it has an excellent value for money! Our highlight was the staff. They are available 24/7 and assist you with anything. You can see that they are motivated and take pride in giving the guests an amazing experience. They even organized a small birthday surprise for my partner. In case of a power cut they have solar panels which can substitute the power cut

HOOM was definitely a home away from home. It's located in such a peaceful place. Staff is friendly and the owners, Hans and Lisa, really go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The pool was a nice reprieve after a beach day or just to cool off before bed. Shared, open kitchen facilities that you can use to make your meals if you wish. They also offer cooked meals at an additional cost. The beaches walking distance are breath-taking and at night you can go to one of many beach restaurants to eat. We explored the island with a rental car and it was always so nice to return "HOOM" at the end of the day and be greeted with warm smiles and conversations! We will be back.

This was the best place for us on our Zanzibar trip. At first we only booked 2 nights but after trying this paradise we decided to finish our trip here. Hans is a really nice owner with a beautiful and quiet place away from the crowd in jambiani or paje. We like the care of us from the entire staff. You can feel at home away from home... Nice spot, comfortable rooms. The wifi in this place is a highlight comparing to other places we have visited. Very close to the beach although not by the beach. Good restaurants by the beach so there are good food options for a week stay. The beach nearby althoug affected by the tides, is stunning. Definitely recommended.

Actually we had planned to stay here only two nights, but stayed a week. The well-equipped kitchen gave us the opportunity to cook every day. The owner is very friendly, caring and attentive and even gave us a free room upgrade. Also the staff is great! With the Dala Dala you can quickly reach the center of Paje to go shopping and many restaurants are also within walking distance on the beach. Hoom is a place where you can feel at home away from home. We did from the first second we arrived. We recommend this accommodation!
