Welcome to Baan Tung Boon Lom Traditional Thai Homestay Bed & Breakfast. Our name means “House in the rice fields.” Baan Tung Boon Lom is a rare and authentic Lana style homestay, built 54 years ago from solid teak timbers, lovingly maintained and updated to ensure our guests have a comfortable stay. Each house comes with free hi-speed internet, your own vehicle parking space, and free bicycle use to explore the nearby village and countryside. We’re located at the end of a quiet country road just six minutes from the Mae Rim highway and within minutes of many of the popular area attractions that visitors want to see and experience. Baan Tung Boon Lom is really an oasis of gardens, fountains and fruit trees, around a large lotus pond. The whole complex is completely surrounded by rice fields with mountain views in all directions. We have a beautiful espresso café and serve delicious sweets from our own bakery. Also we have an excellent in-house menu with traditional Thai and western dishes. And we make our own home made ice cream! One of my greatest passions is gardening, so whatever the season you can most always find me working in one of our gardens. At Baan Tung Boon Lom we grow many of the vegetables, fruits and herbs that we cook with. We like fresh and we like organic. When I’m not in the garden I’m in the kitchen. I love to cook! One of the nice things about having an international homestay is cooking traditional Thai food for our guests. Many people, especially those from the West, have never eaten real Thai food, so it’s a special occasion when I can cook for them. Another joy for me is sampling dishes from around the world, as many of our guests also love to cook and share some of their favorite recipes with us. So, if you have something you like to cook that is unique from your country, please bring your recipes and special herbs and we’ll share the kitchen and eat together around the lotus pond.
