This small, fun, self-contained cottage is right on the water, only 20 minutes from the centre of Stockholm/35 Meters from the train. Generally, we host sailors who participate in regattas @ KSSS or couples/small families travelling around Scandinavia in campervans who use our place as a "stop-over" to recharge/washcloths/get provisions before they hit the road. This cottage features contemporary artwork from renowned local artists. The collection changes 3 times a year, ALL artwork is for sale.
Easy going mostly absent guest… Loves buying unnecessary “advanced” cooking utensils, adores contemporary English Theater…buys and lives in Modern Eclectic furnishings with a slight Scandinavian twist…listens to Internet Radio (BBC4 & FIP). I sail and spend time in the archipelago ... and I am a reluctant renovator of a 120 year old sea side cottage in Stockholm. We are available by mobile phone on Note: from 7am until 11pm daily.
Saltsjöbaden has a rich history dates back to the late 19th century when it was developed as a seaside resort for Stockholm’s upper class. The town was designed with grand villas, elegant hotels, and sprawling gardens, giving it a luxurious and exclusive atmosphere. Many of these historic buildings are still standing today, providing visitors with a glimpse into the past. One of the unique aspects of Saltsjöbaden is its proximity to the Stockholm Archipelago. With over 30,000 islands and islets, this archipelago is a paradise for boating enthusiasts. Visitors can hop on a traditional Swedish archipelago boat and explore the maze of islands, stopping at picturesque villages and secluded beaches along the way.
