Apartment ''Planinsko selo'' can be found on Tara Mountain in a village called Zaovine, near to the lakes of Zaovine. The entire lake lies in the Tara National Park, one of five in Serbia. The lake is surrounded by vast woods as forestation of Tara mountain is 75%. Zaovine is the area where Josif Pančić, a leading Serbian botanist, discovered the endemic Serbian spruce in 1875 on the nearby Kik hill. There are over 600 plant species in the area surrounding the lake, of which 15 are protected by law, including the Serbian spurce and edelweiss. If you are looking for a tranquil and cozy feeling, this is the right place for you. The apartment is located on a meadow surrounded by hills and evergreen trees.We give our guests full freedom to enjoy the peace in nature but we will be there if they need anything.
The location provides a great choice and the opportunity to enjoy. On the Zaovine lake: swimming, fishing. On the meadows; forest trails and glades: pleasant walks, biking, unforgettable scenic views, visit places to camping, springs, participation in other various forms of enjoyment in nature. Staying at Tara, exploring its beauties and charms, will awaken all of your senses, make that you always return to this mountain queen, experiencing it different every time. Meetings with relict and endemic species of flora and fauna, meetings with groups that curious as you are, and contact with the locals with all their characteristics caused by the mountain, always waiting for you.
