Arambha Ecovillage is an evolving project, with a small team of people that share a common vision of restoration and regeneration for both Humans and Nature, while aiming for minimal impact on the local ecosystem. Property information

Immerse in nature and experience farm life, in tune with the natural cycles! You're welcome to explore all areas of the project, meet the community, volunteer in the gardens, hang out with the farm animals & birds, learn about natural building & Superadobe domes, natural cosmetics and medicinal herbs, alternative education for children, organic farming and mushroom production, and join occasional events. Please be aware that landscape in Madeira is generally pretty steep, including on our lands, so there will be a fair amount of walking uphill to reach your camping or living area, but we have wonderful views of the valley and the ocean due to the elevation.

Neighbourhood information

We recommend renting a car as the best way to explore Madeira, and to reach our farm. There are also taxis in the area (we can provide local contacts & app) and local bus service (pretty limited). We are located on the hills of Tabua village, Ribeira Brava municipality, at an altitude ranging between 300-600m above sea level. Funchal airport is around 1h away by car. The town of Ribeira Brava is 12-15min by car down the road, where you'll find the nearest beach, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, and the daily open market.
