Property information

Casas de Seixe are two houses located in a small village two steps from Odeceixe. Built following traditional methods, they stand out for the comfort of a contemporary home and the invigorating salt water pool overlooking the stunning Seixe river valley. Built on land, using traditional techniques, they provide a pleasant interior temperature throughout the year. As it is an architectural restoration of a traditional house, these houses are not adapted to little children and people with reduced mobility. There are stairs and uneven floor and the pool (1.25m deep) is not fence protected. Look at the pictures of the accommodation and check that the rooms do not have a door. Privacy is achieved through a curtain. This is a detail that makes the house deliciously romantic and refers to the typical constructions of the area. Our houses are the perfect choice for relaxing. Next to the front door each house has an exclusive shaded outdoor patio perfect for long family breakfast and rest at the end of the day. It is equipped with a generous wooden dining table, and a hammock to relax and enjoy the views over the Seixe river valley.

Neighbourhood information

Baiona is a quiet village that follows ribeira de Seixe, the natural border between Alentejo and Algarve, and it’s right next to the National Park of Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina. It benefits from the proximity to magnificent beaches, allowing numerous activities, such as surfing, stand-up paddle and canoeing, but also for being located in a privileged place for birdwatching or exploring the different tracks of Rota Vicentina. A short walk of 900 meters, which crosses the bridge over the ribeira de Seixe, is the center of Odeceixe, the village that concentrates shops and services and where there are several restaurants, pharmacy, ATM and local products at the market. Odeceixe beach is just 4 km away. Baiona is a village easy to reach by car and bus by Rede Expresso from Lisbon or Faro (stop Odeceixe), but it is convenient to use car to explore the beaches and nearby places.
