A modern rustic country house within the peaceful village of Bordeira on Portugal’s south-west coast, just 5 minutes from the beach. An open-plan living room/dining room, bespoke kitchen with local slate work-tops. Constructed of traditional Tipa, ensuring house remains cool inside during the warm summer days. Refurbished using local materials, including Chestnut beams throughout.
I'm Colin. Originally from UK, I moved to Portugal in 1999 and worked in Lisbon for 10 years. At every opportunity I travelled throughout the country, and in June 2014 decided to move to the south west coast, an area known as Costa Vicentina . The wild, often deserted coastline, the daily fish market, the local Tasca, the smell of grilled sardines and seafood toasting on the grill, the tiled houses, the clear blue skies, the people. Costa Vicentina and western Algarve still offer a raw authenticity. This is what attracted me. This is 100% Portugal.
