A little older hostel, but it definitely has charme and is quite social. The hot showers are nice and it's not too far from the historic center.

Sergio, the manager, is absolutely brilliant. He is very friendly and extremely helpful. I stayed at Hostel Rivendell pn three separate occasions, with hikes in between each stay. During each hike I was able to leave my extra luggage and valuables at the hostel with the knowledge that Sergio would look after it. The beds are comfy, rooms are clean, showers are hot and there is a nice common area in the middle which is great for meeting fellow travelers.

I stayed at Hostel Rivendell for several days when I first arrived in Cusco. The owner, Sergio, was very friendly and helped me to plan the rest of my trip and give me recommendations. The ambience is very relaxing and the name Rivendell really suits it as a place of refuge for weary travelers like myself. I really like the outside area in particular, perfect for barbecuing and relaxing.

I went on a solo trip to Cusco and was looking for a good deal on accommodations near the city centre. This hotel didn't dissapoint me as it was in a great location. The rooms were big and clean. I spent few days in this hostel but felt home since the first moment! Sergio, the owner of the hostel, has been really helpful, kind and such a sociable person! This hostel is for sure a very important part of this travel experience in Peru and in Cusco. Our room was cozy and clean, such as bathroom, kitchen and common room.
