The ruins were expansive and high up.
The ruins were expansive and high up. The 1.5 hour hike down from the ruins was one of the highlights of our trip. We ate at a Pizza place recommended by the hotel. It was great. Did not see a lot of other restaurant options. The town has some cool narrow cobble stone alleys and a nice plaza. We took a collectivo to Cusco on our way out of town. A great, cheap way to travel. Were looking for one up to the ruins but did not find one because we were at the wrong end of the bridge over the river. You need to walk across the bridge to catch the collectivos. One night in town was about right. Ended up in a slightly more expensive taxi for the ride up to the ruins. Would not recommend hiking up to the ruins, only down!

The walking through Pisac ruins is a fantastic experience - you should go by taxi to the upper entrance and walk down to the exit at the city center. The city itself is small, but very nice, with many good silver and crafts shops, and a fine botanic garden. The stay at the Florencio Casa Hacienda and dining at Cuchara de Palo restaurant were added delights

Such a calm town after the hustle and bustle and traffic of Cusco. !! The archaeological site is the most complete and intact site in the country.
Eat at Osteria Antica, just a short walk from the hotel, on the same street. Wood fired oven pizza. The best pizza crust we have tasted. n Apparently, locals from as far away as Ollantaytambo and Urabamba make the trip to eat here.

Pisac has it's fair share of tourists which has positive and negative aspects. There are great restaurants and lots of shopping. Prices are inflated and sometimes requires haggling. A lady on the Sunday market charged us 3 times what she charged the local for a bowl of soup. It was 15 soles instead of 5. No big deal in principle doesn't feel nice. Ask for prices first!
Wow everything. Came for one night and ended up extending for almost 2weeks! I immediately felt at home and part of the family. The room was one of the most comfortable and beautiful ones on my travels, with a heating blanket! The kitchen has all the equipment you could possibly need and its situated just out of town so its very peaceful. But highlight were deff all the beautiful souls i met there! I miss the talks, the dinners, the fire... the cat and dog, Chaka 🤍 And steven thank you for being an amazing host!
The brother and sister that own the hotel made us feel so welcome. They own the garden across the street and made sure we got a tour of the garden and potato museum. There is so much rich history and love in this hotel. Breakfast was delicious and at their cafe overlooking the garden. The showers were hot with good pressure and the wifi was excellent. The hotel itself is in the right in the middle of Pisac - very walkable to everything. Can't wait to come back!
The staff was super helpful, Roxana and the other staff went above and beyond to assist with what ever needed and suggest activities for us and our kid.
The food was superb, we also had some dinners at the restaurant.
And the location on the square was great, we could experience what ever happens in this small town, from weddings to elections, while at night everything is quiet.
Room was cleaned every day and there was a great hot water stream in the shower.
beautiful view of mountains, right next to Pisac market, cafes, restaurants & all artisans shops, bed is comfy with heavy blankets & extra in the closet, hot tea dispenser in hallway, hot shower, lovely garden space with tables & recliners, an attached cafe, and a shop within a locked property. there is also laundry service, very cheap. strong wifi inside rooms & in garden area. as a solo female traveler I felt very safe even at night
Best place we stayed so far in Peru! super cosy and homy. The bed is very comfy, the small lights in the room bring even more comfyness. I liked the beautiful fresh flowers in the rooms and the rest of the house. The kitchen is clean and big and perfectly equipped. The manager, Steven, is a beautiful soul and very helpful. He also organized a bonfire to gather all the people in the house and we had great food together!
l WOW. this place is just amazing. There are so many things, including a great location, star gazing at night, a sauna, and there is a kitchen which offers fresh home cooked food as well. There is a whole staff and the owner is very professional. The place is well kept and clean and I enjoyed my view from the bed. I stayed in the dorms but felt like it was an upgraded dorm! Highly recommend if you are staying in Pisac.
Nelida and Daniel were so accommodating, kind and helpful they always made sure I was comfortable. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner which is authentic Peruvian food made in sanitary conditions and with good quality produce. The location of Wayqi Wasi is in very nice, quiet and peaceful area with views of mountains all around and next to the river.
I am so happy I chose to stay at Wayqi Wasi!
The hostel is run by a lovely family. They were so respectful and friendly and most of all outstandingly supportive in whatever way possible. I kept on going back and also extending my stay. It is right in the centre of Pisac and I wasn't so sure about staying right there, but their garden really provides a lot of privacy and enables you to disconnect from the busy town... perfect combination :-)
Nice location with good views. Food was delicious, and the common area was very chill, nice lighting and atmosphere. Ivan was helpful with suggestions in Pisac. Lots of beautiful plants everywhere, and 2 beautiful dogs which were the quietest dogs I've seen in Peru. Nice 20 minute walk to town. Really quiet hostel at night time so we slept soundly.
The rooms were really cute and simple nice big beds very quite and calming. You could see the mountains from every angle and the breakfast was the best we had since the beginning of our trip.
Staff was lovely and very accommodating. Big kitchen to cook in if you want, free filtered water and two beautiful and cute dogs.
The staff was very nice and helpful (they only speak Spanish though).
The location is great ( Pisac is tiny but still, it is very close to the main square which was good).
The room was clean and there was hot water all day long.
Very good value for the money.
We came here based on a recommendation and weren't disappointed. Located just outside of the main town of Pisac, this beautiful place has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Mabel and Nigel are wonderful hosts and the food provided is absolutely superb.
This hotel was very pretty right in the center of Pisac. Everything was only a 5 min walk away. The brother/sister that ran it were so kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
Pisonay Hotel was very clean with helpful staff and a good buffet breakfast every morning. The balcony view we had was great, the bed was comfortable and. the stay was great value for money
