Kia ora! Nice to meet you and welcome to our home. We hope you enjoy your stay with us. We hope that you can experience the peace and tranquility that the property has to offer. When the sky is clear at night, you can enjoy a beautiful night sky with little light pollution, with a nice fire pit. The home offers a taste of rural living with all the amenities available. We are not far from the main shopping centre so this is great also. We are also still doing a lot of work around the property so you may see this happening or jobs still being done. All part of the rural lifestyle. Our dogs - Kiki (Huntaway) and Ruby (Foxy) may turn up unannounced and hang out on your deck. You may even get a visit from some of the neighborhood goats, dogs or cats, but they generally don't like coming near the house. If you look close enough, you may notice that there are plenty of wild rabbits, deer and beautiful birds that hang out mostly in the top paddock in front of the house. These are beautiful sights to see. If you need anything during your stay, we are just next door or a message away, but we will mostly stay out of your way and let you enjoy your time here.

Wainui-o-mata is a community full of hidden gems including bush walks, Remutaka Forest Park, and a rugged stretch of sea. Wainui golf club is less than 10 minutes drive from our location. We live semi rural - 1 minute to Brookfield Camp Ground, 1 minute to the local beautician, 1 minute to the, local nursery (plants and things). Then, its a 5 min drive to local amenities including a Four Square, mini sports bar (called the Little Pally), dairy, fish n chips shop, barber and record store and approx 8-10 minutes drive to the local Countdown, McDonalds, and other shops (Curry, Sushi, Coffee cart, Hammer Hardware, Noodle Canteen, Fish n' Chips etc). Note: Uber Eats don't deliver to Moore's Valley but Deliver Easy does). Wainui-o-mata also has many sports clubs including badminton, golf, gymnasiums and the best outdoor swimming pool in Wellington (swimming open in summer months only). Wellington CBD (the Terrace) is approx 30 min drive away. Lower Hutt CBD and Petone are 17min drive away and Eastbourne (Days Bay Pavilion where you can catch the new electric ferry to Wellington city) is approximately 21min. Lower Hutt, Petone and Wellington in particular all have great places to dine.
