Tucked away up a long driveway in a peaceful location, this beautiful homestead is a step back in time. The Station is thoughtfully designed to accommodate large families and styled for comfort to ensure everyone can relax at the end of the day’s mountain adventures. This holiday home features an open-plan living space with a large couch just waiting for you and your book, or Wi-fi is available for all you tech lovers. When the family and friends gather together, everyone can be part of the conversation, or get a good view of the TV on movie night, with a Chromecast for all your streaming needs. Spark up the wood-burning fireplace to get the house nice and toasty and settle in for a cozy night. A small kitchen provides all the basics for a self-catered Ohakune stay, and a porch down the full length of the house offers a sheltered spot to enjoy a hot cuppa on a crisp morning. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms here at The Station offer enough space and convenience for up to 10 guests. The bedding configurations lend themselves well to two families with kids of any age, and a separate shower and toilet in one of the bathrooms means no queues at either end of the day! Enjoy action-packed days on the slopes of Turoa, just 20 minutes drive from The Station, or get out and explore the cycle trails in the area. On days when you need a rest, take a short three-minute drive into the village and visit the shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars. Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
