Accessible only by boat or walking/biking via the Queen Charlotte Track. We are approx. 4 hours from the start of the track, Ship Cove, making us the ideal first night stay. We are 10 minutes down off the Queen Charlotte Track. Boat transfers/water taxis are available from Picton to our jetty. Travel time by private boat is approx 40 mins from Picton. With no close neighbours, we offer the perfect place for relaxing & soaking up the serenity, having a drink by the waterside, or you may like to be more active & enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, or paddle boarding. All of which are available for your use. Whether it be an overnight stay while walking the track, a weekend getaway arriving by boat, or a group fishing trip for a week, we aim to make your time here happy & memorable.
Our cabins are located in close proximity to our waterfront home so whilst you have your privacy of a self-contained cabin, we are always available as your hosts for anything you may require. Equally, if you would rather "do your own thing" we won't bother you either ;) We really love entertaining & looking after guests, & our hope for when you come to stay, is that you feel relaxed, comfortable & at home.
NO ROAD ACCESS TO TAWA COVE CABINS - BOAT ONLY Our beachfront property is ideal for kayaking, snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding, fishing off the jetty & swimming. Location: Walking the QC Track; (heading Sth), Tawa Cove sign is a further 35 minutes walk from the Tawa Saddle picnic tables. It is then a 10 minutes walk down to Tawa Cove off track. Note; it is steep in places & there are quite a few steps at bottom into Tawa Cove Cabins. Ship Cove - 4 hours walking. approx Punga Cove - 4+hours walk. approx Furneaux Lodge - 1 hours walk along Queen Charlotte Track.
