Magnificent ocean views from your own private unit with balcony high above New Zealand's most loved beach with a patrolled swimming beach, large park and playground across the road. Short stroll to cafes, local shops and restaurants. With 11 km of beach to explore and also local walking tracks through the Pohutukawa forest reserve at the rear of the property you can enjoy the sounds of abundant native birdlife and drift off to sleep to the sound of the waves on the beach.
Hi, my name is Owen and I look forward to welcoming you to this unique part of New Zealand known as "The Kiwi Capital of the World" as we have over 300 Kiwi's in the local area. Having travelled extensively myself I always enjoyed learning about other cultures and meeting new people along the way. I will endeavour to make your stay a pleasant and memorable experience.
Safe swimming and surfing beach is just across the road. There is a Kiwi walking track behind my property where guests can explore the natural Pohutukawa forest and listen for the Kiwi calling at night. There are so many activities available in this area I would suggest guests enquire about their specific interest whether it is Golfing at Ohope International golf course or a fishing trip. Big Game Fishing charter companies operate from Whakatane. Kayak guided tours for beginners to the more experienced. Bring your bike if you enjoy road or mountain biking or hire one locally. Cafes and restaurants are just a few minutes walk. There are local seasonal berry farms which are very popular. Hot springs are a short car trip. Ohiwa oyster farm is a must for oyster lovers. Whakatane township is just 6 km over the hill and has additional tourist attractions. Plus much more. Public Transit Exact location information is provided after a booking is confirmed.
