The company, Visit Waiheke, was established on Waiheke Island in 2003 and has, since, managed between 30 and 65 holiday houses at any one time. This unique cabin, set within a native broadleaf forest offers the ultimate glamping experience for grown ups. It is private and romantic with glow worms at the gate and a mere 10 to 15 minute stroll to the long,white sands of Onetangi beach. Vineyards, restaurants and cafes are in close vicinity as is the famous EcoZip, New Zealand's premier native forest adventure experience. The cabin is a 10 sqm, self contained space with bathroom and kitchenette. Climb the wonderful library ladder to access a Queen sized mattress and a bird's eye view of the forest world! The song of the Kereru, Kaka and Piwakawaka surround you.The cabin is intended for travelers on a budget. There is no parking provided with the cabin. The cabin has a heat pump air conditioning unit, heaed towel rail, television and radio. There is also a Barbecue on the deck. It is self catering however a limited quantity of tea coffee, sugar, flowing soap and toilet rolls are provided for your stay. Further supplies will need to be arranged yourselves. 20 min walk to Onetangi Beach - we have e-bikes you can hire if you prefer. Short walk to Onetangi 4 Square which has fresh bread, veggies fruit and meat as well as organic milk and a wide range of produce. 5 minute drive to the local market and a variety of shops and cafes in Ostend.. There are many vineyards in the area as well as Eco Zip Adventures within walking distance.
