Located 5 minutes' walk from the centre of the Cambridge, No. 142 is a 1914, renovated villa with many original features. There is an open plan kitchen/seating/dining area and a separate lounge that can be closed off when guests are watching TV. At No. 142, there are 3 large bedrooms, each with its own air-conditioning duct. There are 2 full bathrooms, electric blankets, cotton sheets, feather duvets/pillows, a complete laundry and a Smart TV with free-to-air channels and Netflix. The backyard is private and secluded with a BBQ and an outdoor dining area, under the olive trees. You can go for a walk to the centre of the village where you will find a range of antique/boutique shops, cafes and restaurants and there is a farmer's market on Saturday morning. There is a lake at the end of the road, which is home to bird life and native trees. Lake Karapiro is 15 minutes' drive away. No. 142 has 2 mountain bikes for guests to use and additional bikes can be hired from the Information Centre just along the road. The villa has a lockable garage with internal access.

This villa was built in 1914 but has been totally modernised with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay, but with leaving the original features so that the character is still retained. Three double bedrooms using only the best cotton sheets and very comfy king/queen beds, with feather duvets and pillows. Linen has been used throughout the property. We have used a blend of antique furniture along with european touches.
Hobbiton, Waitomo Caves, Lake Karapiro, Rotorua are all easily accessible from Cambridge.
The neighbourhood is quiet with a wide grass strip running down the centre of Victoria Street, where the railway line use to run. At the end of our street is a large lake with lots of bird life and native trees that you can wander around before heading off to your favourite cafe for a cup of fabulous coffee. We also have a boutique theatre, showing a variety of movies, walking distance from the villa, where you can enjoy a glass of wine with your movie. The village can be reached by a quiet stroll down the footpath where you will find an array of boutique, antique shopping with a great selection of cafes and restaurants. The Information Centre is a great source of of all that is happening around this dynamic little town.
