Magnolia House was a community centre for 20 odd years, until we renovated and converted it into a co-living boarding property. Magnolia House is sister to Turret House, both of which are on the same property. There are 5 rooms in Magnolia House, 3 currently have longterm tenants in them. The other 2 are available for short term stays. The property is right next to the railway line so you will hear the trains, however, apart from the occasional trains it is very peaceful. This room is a double bedroom. It has a set of drawers, 2 bedside tables, a chair and wardrobe rack. The room has keypad entry and has a heatpump with heat/cool functions. The living spaces are very large and there are multiple outside areas where you can sit and enjoy all-day sun. The kitchen is brand new and flows into the lounge and out onto the back deck, where the spa pool is located. The bathroom/kitchen/lounge areas are shared, however this is a large property and as the 3 main tenants primarily work in hospo, often you will have the place to yourself. There are two full bathrooms with toilet and showers, and an additional toilet near the lounge/kitchen and an outside toilet. The property is an easy walk to Featherston shops with the local Supervalue being 250m away.

Featherston is New Zealands Booktown so you have many book stores to choose from! The Wairarapa is a stunning region with lots on offer. It is home to beautiful vineyards in Martinborough, picturesque views of the mountains which gather snow in winter, nearby Lakes (Lake Wairarapa & Lake Ferry) and beaches (Ocean Beach, Castlepoint, Riversdale Beach etc), the local Tauherenikau horse races which often have New Years meetings. You can swim in the rivers or enjoy a drive out to see some other beautiful coastal spots like the diggers in Ngawi, the light house in Cape Palliser or the remote Tora. Magnolia House is located on the street behind the main road so 200m from Featherston shops. There is a supervalue located in Featherston, alternatively there is a large supermarket 13km away in Greytown. Beautiful Martinborough 16km away. Masterton is roughly 30km away, as is Upper Hutt. Wellington is 60km.
