Whilst there is no TV, unlimited internet and audio speakers are available for streaming content on your own devices at the end of your day exploring. Just a six-minute walk from the house you’ll find the river trail, and in 12 minutes you’ll be at the lakefront with its stunning views. You’re welcome to store bikes and other adventure equipment in the garden shed, so make sure you bring it all along. There is a small store in Lake Hawea for topping up on supplies, or take a 15-minute drive to Wanaka where you’ll find a supermarket as well as plenty of eateries, shops, and activities. The...

Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
