FURU was lovely to stay at, everyone was friendly and easy to talk to about different hikes and trails. Stay was comfortable and place felt like home.

My friend and I had been following Furu on Instagram and really wanted to see if it lived up to its posts - and it does! What a lovely hostel in a great location. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the sauna and an ice swim during our stay (definitely do this!!) and got lucky with a northern lights show twice! The breakfast was lovely, the living room fire place was a cosy place for backgammon (don’t be shy- get in and start it yourself! This is a hostel after all). TY for a lovely stay

The quiet location in front of the lake. The place is cozy and warm, with all the amenities required (free wifi, lights, an electric plug next to the bed, curtain for the beds).

Everything! This is seriously one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in and I am desperate to go back! It was so good I kept extending my stay. The beds are super comfy, the kitchen is huge and has so much stuff in it, you can do your washing as well. I absolutely loved the common rooms, with the lovely warm fire in the evenings, comfy sofas, so many board games, and all sorts of books from fiction to guidebooks on the area. I love that backpackers can sell their second hand clothes there, such a cool initiative! And then the outside... the super cute log cabin with a firepit and a sauna on the lake. Beautiful views and you can see the Northern Lights from a window, you don't even have to step outside. They have lots of equipment to borrow, I borrowed snowshoes and had a great time climbing a small mountain one day with some others from the hostel. There is a bus stop right outside on the "main road" that goes through Lofoten (it's pretty quiet).

For starters this hostel was very clean, there were specific rules that everyone followed, and I never found anything to be dirty, even in the shared bathroom or kitchen. There are different rooms you can hang out in or eat your food in if you don't want it to be in your room or the kitchen. The location is also very nice, directly at a big lake, and there are many incredible hiking spots close by. The staff is also very friendly, and always helped us whenever we had a question.

It was nice staff. Inside the hostel was nice and warm during winter. I liked the small corners in the hostel, you can sit together, but there is enough space to be alone aswell.
