Company information

SKAARA LIVING was established in 2022 by me, Svein Arne, and my dear wife Anita. When I moved to Anita’s hometown of Lotsberg in Stad municipality, I fell head over heels for the fantastic view. We decided that we had to find a way to share this view with others. In June 2023, we opened up for guests from all over the world to experience it, and it has been an amazing experience from the start. We now have two completely separate and secluded Birdbox cabins. We look forward to each guest experiencing our magical place, and we do everything we can to make it an unforgettable experience.

Property information

270 meters above sea level, in one of Nordfjord's beautiful gems, Lote, you will find Skaara Living. Here you will have a unique experience framed by one of Norway's finest views, while simultaneously enjoying the feeling of luxury and tranquility. Birdbox Hjellaakeren is completely shielded from view, and while you enjoy your stay, you can experience deer grazing and eagles soaring just outside the window. Additionally, the area is abundant with unique tourist and culinary experiences. In Birdbox Hjellaakeren, you have a double bed measuring 150 x 200 cm, a small kitchenette with a sink, a kettle, and a refrigerator, a small seating area with 2 chairs and a table, a composting toilet, and a cozy outdoor area. We provide a large jug of water and you will receive a bottle of Myrold apple juice from the local area. Bring your own food and additional beverages. THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER AND THEREFORE NO SHOWER FACILITIES. There are no other cooking facilities than the kettle. 🚨NOTE! Due to the lack of running water in the area, the use of camping stoves and any other open flames is prohibited. We kindly ask all guests to respect this.

Birdbox Hjellaakeren is located about a 15-minute drive from Nordfjordeid. You drive towards Lote and then continue towards Lotsberg. The cabin is situated on the Lotsbergskåra farm. There is free parking 50-100 meters from the cabin. The nearest grocery store is in Nordfjordeid, so it is important that you bring enough food and drink for your stay. Access by car. Free parking.
