This was such a lovely break in our travels up the coast. The location is just stunning. Beautiful green gardens sloping down to a crystal clear lake.A lovely beach area to chill on and a friendly restaurant from which to watch amazing sunsets. The chalets are very spacious. Basic but great value for money .

Beautiful accomodation by the lake. stay is basic but comfortable. location is a bit out of the way and requires 4x4 access, however you are rewarded with a beautiful remote lodge on the water.

We only stayed one night to split the drive from Kruger Parc to Tofo. It’s a nice place to stay. Pros : People were very great and helpful. The manager Matthew was really of good advise before and during our trip. We recommend to book a lodge with private bathrooms. The lake view is really really astonishing (even better than the pictures). Bonus tip : several times on the the road from Maputo to Tofo, the local police will stop you and ask for a bribe. Just pretend you don’t speak a work of Portuguese or English and they should let you go. But beware of speed limit and ask for speed camera if they tell you were speeding. Also you don’t want to drive at night as many pedestrian walks along the road and it’s hard to see them especially when you are blinded by cars coming across.
