Sailor's Rest

Set 600 metres above sea level along the Titiwangsa Mountain Range, Sailor's Rest offers an escape from the city with accommodation set in a tropical jungle. The Bungalow, Houseboat, Modern Chalets and Kampung Chalets all include TV, electric kettle and a private bathroom with shower. The Bungalow features a kitchenette with refrigerator. The house boat with sundeck is situated in a pond, berthed alongside a wharf. For the more adventurous soul, experience spending the night in our huge glamping tents that feature luxurious beddings and clean shared bathrooms to provide maximum comfort during your stay. Guests can enjoy activities such as jungle trekking, fishing and cycling. Eateries are available within a 5 km drive. Situated at the merger of the Kuali River and Lurah River, Sailor's Rest is only 25 km from exotic Genting Highlands. Bukit Tinggi Resorts is 22 km away, while Kuala Lumpur is 45 km from the property.

We have this great place, 600 metres above sea level, along the famous Titiwangsa Mountain Range of Malaysia. Our place is always cool and fresh. It is set right in the middle of the tropical jungle. We never cease to marvel at the rich flora and fauna while enjoying the natural sound and the refreshing scent of the jungle in the beautiful landscape of the place. This is where we take frequent refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is indeed a place where one can live in a virtual world created only by the richness of one's own imagination. We built our vacation home here which we name "Sailor's Rest". Throughout the years, we have added few more facilities and turn it from a Homestay into "Sailor's Rest Resort". Currently what we have at Sailor's Rest are a three-bedroom main house with a one-room annex, a houseboat, two Kampung Chalets, two Modern Chalets, a dining hall, conference hall, three fish ponds, a river, an orchard and a beautifully manicured garden. The whole place is designed to provide complete relaxation.
Founded by Hashim, a former Navy officer who used to command ships and travel around the world, Sailor's Rest is inspired by his passion in bringing the experience of a serene kampung life to the city crowd. We love to have guests with us to share the tranquility and the serenity of the place. I am sure you too will enjoy Sailor's Rest just as much as we do. There are plenty of things to do both within Sailor's Rest compound and around Janda Baik. Our site itself is situated right next to a shallow and clean flowing river, where everyone can enjoy a nice splash in the warm weather. We also have two small lakes where guests can enjoy fishing or a nice family picnic. For the more adventures, activities such as hiking, cycling, ATV, and night walking are on offer. Most of our guests love driving around Janda Baik to experience the peaceful kampung life and visit the many different coffee shops and restaurants dotted along the roads or search for more hidden gems.
