If you choose to stay in Sutomore, you will only be 45km from the capital city, Podgorica, and have a chance to explore the newly renovated Sutomore promenade, along with its main beach and several smaller beaches which are more remote, but rich in trees and nature. Situated between Budva and Ulcinj, Sutomore is a great place to explore the Montenegrin coastline from. Bar, with its rich history and the fairly preserved Old Bar is only 8km away, while Ulcinj, with its Old Town is 34km away. Near Ulcinj you will find Ada Bojana and the Velika Plaža Beach which is 12km long, and with that, one of the longest beaches in the world. From Sutomore you can also explore the other side of the Montenegrin coastline: Perast (13.5km), Budva (31km), Kotor (52km). Here, you can also find the Old Cities of Budva, Kotor and more. Only 16km from Sutomore you can find the largest lake on the Balkan peninsula – Skadarsko jezero (Skadar lake). It is one of the homes to many species of birds and fish and can be explored by boat.
