A beautiful bungalow with architectural value situated on a 1 acre land, surrounded by luscious greenery and a swimming pool. Fully furnished with 3 very large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and sprawling verandahs. Also driver's quarters and bathroom included. If the need is to relax or meditate it has the perfect surroundings but if you need to unwind friends/family in the evening with a glass of wine the spacious drawing room is most suitable.
We are a family originally from Tangalle now living in Colombo. The bungalow under reference was built by my great grandfather who was a well respected Attorney at Law. Its around 100 years old but absolutely solid because we have been looking after the property and upgrading it constantly. It is one of a kind for the whole District.
Located in a very peaceful neighborhood and just a 5 minute walk to beautiful yum beaches and to the town. Located in close proximity to Mulkirigala Rock Temple, Hummanaya Blow Hole, and Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary. Historical and Cultural sites including Tissamaharamaya, Katharagama, and National Parks such as Yala and Udawalawe are about an hours drive away. There are plenty of good restaurants near the beach to have local cuisine, sea food, western etc. also just a few meters away from our Villa there are small shops to get your breakfast like hoppers , strings hoppers and curries which are hygienically prepared by the locals. Less than 100 meters away you will find two good Super markets [ Keells, Food City] to purchase anything you need. Also the Tangalle Rest House located near the beach which is walking distance from our Villa provides delicious breakfast / lunch/ dinner at very affordable price. We have a staying-in caretaker who can bring you whatever you need from close-by shops. Or arrange tuk-tuk to go to nearby places.
