We come from different countries, but we were all attracted by the charm of Kyoto which combining ancientry and modernity, so we decided to stay in this beautiful place and we wish we could share it with you. We think accommodation is indispensable during traveling, and house is one of the ways to represent the local culture. Therefore, we combine these two ideas depending on our know-how to make the design for our guest houses. We share the Kyoto images with you through our guest houses and wish we could make you have the different experience of accommodation. 【Tabi】contains two meanings in Japanese,「repeating」and「 traveling」. In addition, it character in Kanji with「度」and「旅」, which represent a meaning,「Repeating of traveling」. The beauty of Kyoto would make you deeply trapped in it and visit again and again, and we wish that【Tabitabi Stay】 bring you beautiful memories in your journey over and over again as well.

Tabitabi Stay「Higashiyama」is located in Higashiyama district, where is full of the atmosphere of the ancient capital, surrounded by many attractions. The house is remodel from a Machiya. We retain the original properties of the machiya by using a lot of wood materials. At the same time, the convenience of the space-using and the modern equipment are well considered in the house, which is not only to meet your occupancy needs, but also satisfy you a comfortable and enjoyable environment. The Japanese courtyard designed by the veteran courtyard master through the floor-to-ceiling windows and doors of the living room. In the courtyard, a hand-built bathtub is made of Shigaraki-yaki, known as the six ancient kilns in Japan, which is designated used by the Emperor. Here, you can experience the original and traditional Japan, and also you can feel the ingenuity of combining modern elements with traditional craftsmanship. Let’s take a bath with the sake and enjoy the Japanese courtyard after one day of trip!

The house is located in the Higashiyama area, in a residential area with good manner and good public security, which makes you to take a good rest without being disturbed after a tiring day. It is also surrounded by many attractions - not only the famous one, but also many beautiful temples and Japanese gardens which local people like to visit. Within a five-minute walk are supermarket, pharmacy, 24-hour convenience store, and hundred-yen store. And there are also many restaurants around which is a quite convenient place. ●1-minute walk from subway “Higashiyama” Station. ●10-minute walk from Keihan railway “Sanjo” station. Famous attractions such as Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Heian Shrine, Nanzen Temple and Kodai Temple can be reached in 10-15 minutes by walk.
