It was an original ryokan work onsen that provided dinner and breakfast, we wanted to try something really Japanese. I loved the onsen both private and public. The room is spacious with tatami.

Traditional Japanese Ryokan that gave a very authentic experience. The staff were so lovely and incredibly helpful with everything that we needed. Beautiful location in Hakone, just a short bus trip from tourist areas and delicious food.

The place is beautiful, with great views and gardens and room and main hall decorations and design., and some of the rooms have an extremely authentic traditional -historical vibes, while keeping a high comfort level. The staff are unbelievably helpful and kind and some of them speak english well enough to make adjustments. Public bath was beyond expectations.

Special thanks to people who served, every meal was beautiful and tasty The room was big enough and fresh with a nice view on the garden, but if you arre cold there were heetings Ryokan was an ideal place to rest after the intensive day. Actually there were two: big inside nd 2 small outside, I liked both

Traditional keisiki dinner and bfast included, making this great value for money. Great service. We booked the private onsen for an extra fee which was totally worth it (this is a traditional old bath; not a spa experience). Choice of colourful yukatas for the wife. Traditional-style room but not authentic, as most of the more affordable ryokans.

Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Traditional Japanese clothing is provided for you to wear if you wish. Breakfast and dinner were superb. The building itself is very interesting, and has a gallery with interesting art and artefacts on display. The hot springs were amazing and were the highlight of the trip. Traditional room was very spacious and the futon beds were surprisingly comfortable.

The ryokan was good. It is an old ryokan and it looks like an old ryokan, but it has all the amenities and services you expect. The staff was very nice but the language barrier was an issue. We booked the private onsen for half an hour and it was amazing. 100% recommended.

the staff amazing. truly. authentic multicourse meals traditional style. also accomodated my vegetarian husband with artful meals (with alot of advance notice and explanation in writing and google translate). amazing staff and people, lovely historic feel, quiet, rustic
