Stunning location nestled among vineyards and olive trees with a well-kept pool. Our own garden patio let us enjoy the beautiful grounds even more. Breakfast and coffee was really good including tomatoes from the garden and omelette and scrambled eggs made ready to order. Staff were friendly and owners personally thanked us for our stay.

Company information

Tenuta Santa Caterina was born as a farmhouse, completely renovated and furnished in 2020, it is located in a wonderful position in the countryside, among olive trees and vineyards, in Portoferraio, on Elba Island. It takes its name from the nearby church of Saint Catherina, built in honour of the martyr in 1851 and an ancient place of religious devotion loved by the inhabitants of the area. Saint Catherine is remembered as the patron saint of philosophers, theologians, seamstresses and women of marriageable age. In this regard, the local elders still tell that girls used to go to these places in prayer with the hope of finding their soul mate.
