Our exquisite chalets boast a contemporary and cozy interior. In addition to a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountain landscape, you can expect amenities such as underfloor heating and a sauna area with a walk-in rain shower. You can comfortably park your vehicle in front of the chalet free of charge, as ample parking options are available. For avid mountain sports enthusiasts, direct access to the nearest hiking trail is available right from the chalet. Within just 5 minutes, you can reach the closest alpine pasture, which offers local delicacies at affordable prices during the season. Furthermore, the renowned hiking route Via Claudia Augusta runs in close proximity along the Mendel. During the winter months, skiers (beginners) can enjoy the nearby ski slope with a comfortable chairlift. For explorers, we also provide a rental service for E-mountain bikes. With these, you can venture directly into the fascinating mountain landscape. The picturesque town of Kaltern is easily reachable via a ten-minute walk to the cogwheel train. For a relaxed start to the day, our local bakery in Cavareno will gladly deliver a delicious breakfast directly to your doorstep. Ordering is simple, with prices ranging between eight and thirteen euros, depending on the breakfast selection. Additionally, a fully equipped private kitchen allows for self-catering at any time. We are delighted to share local recommendations with you, whether it's about top-notch hiking trails, regional events like the famous Törggelen in autumn, or organizing a visit to one of the best sparkling wine manufactories in Europe!

The Mendel Pass, also known as the Mendel, is a mountain pass in the Nonsberg Group, southwest of Bolzano, between South Tyrol and Trentino in Italy. It is located at an altitude of 1,362 meters above sea level and connects the Val di Non with the Überetsch. Our guests who vacation near the Mendel Pass appreciate the beautiful nature, the good food, and the many cultural offerings. The region is ideal for a relaxing vacation, but it also offers numerous opportunities for active travelers. Tips for the area Hiking: The Mendel Pass is a popular destination for hikers. There are numerous hiking trails in the area that lead through the beautiful mountain landscape. These include the Mendelweg, which leads from Cavareno to the pass, and the Roenweg, which leads to the 2,361-meter-high Monte Roen. Cycling: Cyclists also get their money's worth on the Mendel Pass.
