La struttura è immersa in un ambiente naturale ricco di boschi e prati. Insieme all’ospitalità ed alla ristorazione ci occupiamo dei lavori agricoli e la cura dell’orto. Per questo motivo andiamo a dormire presto e chiediamo di osservare gli orari del check-in e check-out fissati. Se qualcuno ha necessità di orari diversi ci sarà un costo aggiuntivo di 10 euro ogni ora. il vantaggio per voi che deriva dall’attività agricola è che possiamo cucinare con prodotti freschi e genuini! Distiamo 5 km dalla strada principale e da noi non passano mezzi pubblici. Per raggiungerci bisogna percorrere un tratto di strada di montagna stretta, in salita, con tante curve. Chi vuole arrivare in un posto tranquillo e non ha difficoltà a guidare anche su strade secondarie potrà godere di un luogo tranquillo e piacevole. Non è indicato, invece, per chi cerca una struttura per fermarsi per motivi di lavoro e deve raggiungere velocemente e facilmente la propria destinazione. Qui da noi si possono fare piacevoli passeggiate nella natura, ma anche andare con i propri mezzi a visitare Genova o al mare. A questo proposito c’è la stazione ferroviaria a 7 km per raggiungere facilmente queste mete senza il problema del traffico e dei parcheggi.
La possibilità di ospitare è per noi un piacere, perché ci permette di incontrare persone che vengono da ogni parte e, se vogliono, avere la possibilità di chiacchierare insieme in modo non formale. Un’altra cosa che ci piace è far assaggiare piatti tipici della zona e prodotti tradizionali come lo sciroppo di rose ed il sambuchino (una bibita a fermentazione naturale a base di fiori di sambuco) fatti da noi.
Si possono fare piacevoli passeggiate, in mezzo ai boschi o in punti panoramici o, con un’ora cammino, si può vedere il mare dall’alto; siamo anche posto tappa di 2 sentieri a lunga percorrenza: l’ E1 e la Via Postumia (che ripercorre il tracciato dell’antica via Romana). Ci troviamo tra due Parchi regionali; il Parco delle Capanne di Marcarolo (Piemonte) ed il Parco dell’Antola (Liguria). Con l’auto si possono raggiungere diverse mete interessanti: i castelli medievali, tra cui il Castello Della Pietra o i castelli del Monferrato (zona di vini pregiati); si può visitare la zona archeologica dell’antica città romana Libarna; si può raggiungere la città di Genova, con il porto ed il suo centro storico medievale più esteso d’Europa, oppure i caratteristici paesi della costa ligure sul mare.
