Property information

Il Dipinto is an elegant apartment on the first floor of a noble building with original frescoes. Located just inside the city walls of Cortona it remains half-way from the public parking and the main squares of the town. Thanks to its location and the big windows that are unsual for this etruscan town, it has a beautiful panorama overlooking the Valdichiana valley and is very bright. The entrance opens onto the large living room which is furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs while the walls and ceilings are decorated in soft colors which make the apartment very cozy. The kitchen has been remoled with the every modern amenities to ensure our guests a comfortable stay. Three bedrooms compelte the apartment of which two double room and a double with single beds. Three bathrooms of which two besides the double bedromms and the third one en-suite the third bedroom.

Neighbourhood information

Il Dipinto is located in a central position, a few steps from the central square Piazza della Repubblica. Guests will easily reach a Minimarket, and via Nazionale- where most of the shops are located. This beautiful medieval town is rich in history and art, but also excellent restaurants (such as Osteria del Teatro or Trattoria Toscana), cafes (Bar Signorelli) and ice-cream parlors. All are within walking distance from Il Dipinto. Guests can visit Museo Diocesano or take a stroll all the way up to the top of the hill, where the Church of Santa Margherita is located. Given its location in the historic center, there is no parking adjacent to the property, but you can leave your car in one of the free parking lots outside the walls, about 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Thanks to its location, Cortona is the ideal starting point to explore Tuscany and Umbria, either by train or by car.
