I Balconcini is a "gem" in the heart of the city of Bergamo. The location of the apartment is very central in the lower part of Bergamo close to the busiest areas of the city. Within 10-15 minutes you're at the main train station and within 15 minutes in Città Alta. Everything you could need, like restaurants and a grocery stores, is right around the corner. It is very pleasant to walk along these charming streets, to window shop, to sit at one of the many bars. Bergamo is a unique city in Lombardy. It developed over the centuries on two levels, the lower city is more modern and dynamic, whilst the famous upper city boasts a stunning historic centre full of monuments and works of art. The splendour of the city is in large part due to the ancient domination of Venice from the 15th until the end of the 18th century. The Venetians also constructed the city walls around the upper centre, today a wonderful walking opportunity between history and nature. The international Orio airport is only a 15 minutes drive away.
We were fascinated by this beautiful city, and having the Apulian hospitality in our hearts, we have decided to embark on this exciting adventure that will enrich our lives with so many stories .... yours.
The district Borgo San Leonardo is a historic low Bergamo crossroads. It is possible to recognize it immediately thanks to its peculiar shape, that is 5 streets coming together in one place. Once this place was an important trading center for the citizens, while today Pontida Square is the heart of this wonderful neighborhood, a great place where to enjoy a fantastic cocktail, surrounded by the characteristic setting offered by picturesque and colorful poetic buildings made like this due to the signs of time , and where to conclude your time by testing the food of several restaurants present in the area!.
