The Casuzza al Duomo is a project conceived in continuity with that of the Casuzza di Girgenti, also designed by the architect Vincenzo Castelli. It's a panoramic and bright place that can accommodate up to 2 people and is located in the heart of the historic center of Agrigento: Girgenti, a few steps from its Cathedral! Agrigento has been proclaimed Italian Capital of Culture 2025! A double flight of stairs [31 steps] leads to a Studio which offers, from its large balcony on three sides and from the small terrace, covered by a wooden shed, a splendid view of the cathedral, the sea and the Valley of the Temples. There is a large non-smoking double room, with a non-divisible King Size bed, making it particularly suitable for a couple or friends or family for whom sleeping together is not a problem! Memory foam mattress and pillows, with hypoallergenic, fresh and anti-mite mattress cover. It is air-conditioned, equipped with a table, Smart TV, coat hangers, mirrors and disposable slippers. [In order to limit carbon dioxide emissions and protect the environment, on leaving the 'Casuzza', the air conditioner, if on, will switch off and only the courtesy lights and sockets for recharging your devices will come on]. The air conditioners are heat pump and therefore are able to combine the cooling and heating function. There is a Food corner with a two-burner hob, fridge, kettle, coffee machine and microwave and the bathroom has a large shower [Shower tray: 140*90] bidet, hairdryer, shower cap and essentials. There is no daily cleaning service but you will find everything you need for cleaning in the studio flat. There isn't washing machine. Invoice cannot be issued.

La Casuzza al Duomo is located in a hilly area and, to access it, you have to walk short and wide stairs. Is located in the heart of the historic center of Agrigento which has a typically Arab urban structure among the most authentic and best preserved in Sicily. Therefore it is a place that I recommend to those who let themselves be fascinated by the typical narrow alleys, by the courtyards, by the up and down stairways [not indicated for those with walking problems] and numerous and vital little squares where one breathes a return to the past, to the genuine. Arriving, all guests must show their identity card or passport for registration in accordance with the law. Only registered guests are allowed in the Casuzza. At check-in, cash payment of the tourist tax will be required: 1 Euro per day and per person (for the first 4 days).

La Casuzza al Duomo is located just 80 meters on foot from the Cathedral and the Steri Chiaramontano, just 200 meters on foot from the Diocesan Museum MUDIA and the Church of Santa Maria dei Greci, built on the foundations of a Doric temple. If you are traveling by electric car, it will be useful to know that there is a charging station in the nearby Piazza Don Minzoni [50 meters on foot]. By car, at 4 km it is possible to reach the majestic Valley of the Temples and the Archaeological Museum, at 8 km the seafront of San Leone with its small port and the delightful kiosks located directly on the beach and at 13 km the splendid and unforgettable cliff of Scala dei Turchi, the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve and the contemporary peculiarity of the Farm Cultural Park in Favara. The Casuzza can be reached from the Train Station and the Bus Station in Piazzale Rosselli in about 20 minutes on foot, albeit slightly uphill. [For those with walking problems, we recommend arriving by car]. By car [recommended] it is possible to park for free in the very close [50 meters] Piazza Don Minzoni, sideways to the Cathedral or along Via Duomo. It is also possible to use the bus stop that passes [including the panoramic tourist bus, present in high season] from the nearby Piazza Bibirria or from Via Atenea which is 600 meters away and is the central location for cultural and commercial activities in the city and where you can linger to taste typical products. The Via Atenea is then well connected with the Valley of the Temples and the Garden of Kolimbetra: only 3 km, for which only 2 bus stops or if you want, reachable on foot with 5.000 steps!, to avoid the use of the car!
