The Cinque Terre, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, within the National Park and Marine Protected Area, are five villages that is Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore in a corner of Liguria that reveals its history not only through the structure of the inhabited areas, the churches, the sanctuaries, the widespread museums but above all through the landscapes. Here, in fact, generations of men with effort and determination have created a monumental architecture of terraces overlooking the sea supported by more than 700 km of dry stone walls where the vineyards produce an excellent DOC wine including the delicious Sciacchetrà, an ancient meditation wine , and the olive groves an extra virgin olive oil that marries beautifully with the local cuisine. The Mediterranean scrub with a triumph of euphorbias, gorse, cysts and imposing agaves alternates with specialized organic crops with aromatic herbs and basil. The coast enchants for its variety: high cliffs plunge into the cobalt blue seabed and hide tiny pebble beaches, cliffs and sandy beaches.
