Porto Cesareo is a beautiful seaside town which during the summer becomes one of the most popular destinations for tourists. In fact, the locality offers a beautiful view of the sea and numerous beaches, mostly sandy, and/or private shores; then there is the possibility of easily reaching the Isola dei Conigli by boat directly from the port, to spend relaxing moments away from the chaos of the crowded Salento beaches; then always in Porto Cesareo there are numerous activities of all kinds, from shops to bars and restaurants, continuing with all the other indispensable activities (post offices, banks, pharmacies, medical guard). In general then, moving by car, if you go up the coast towards Torre Lapillo you can meet numerous other unmissable places: the tranquility of the cliffs of Torre Castiglione and its surroundings and the numerous beaches that go from Torre Lapillo to Punta Prosciutto, famous for sandy landscapes and a very clean and enchanting sea. Going south instead you get to Gallipoli, another very famous tourist destination, then continuing until you get to Santa Maria di Leuca, the extreme tip of the Salento peninsula that separates the Ionian and Adriatic seas, and from which it is possible to then go back up to visit Castro and Otranto which overlook the Adriatic coast instead.
